A ready-to-tile shower base is a pre-sloped pan that you tile over, so you skip building a mortar bed. The slope to the drain is formed at the factory, which helps water drain properly and gives you a stable surface for tile. EZ Able® offers curbless and curbed bases in many sizes and drain locations.
Why choose a ready-to-tile base?
- No mortar bed. The slope is already built in, so you do not have to pack and float it on site.
- Consistent drainage. A factory-formed slope helps keep water flowing to the drain.

Do I still need a mortar bed?
