Hot Mop Shower Pan Collar for QuickDrain Systems

QuickDrain offers two ways to accomodate people who use the Hot Mop method to waterproof tile shower pans.  The HOTMD23-ABS(3000003419) and the HOTMD-CI(HOTMD23-CI
. 

If you're using HOTMOP to waterproof your shower and you're using either a QuickDrain ShowerLine or ProLine drain, you'll need this accessory to help ensure a successful job. These 2-part hot mop collars are for hot mop shower pan installations. Compatible with both ProLine and ShowerLine drains.

• The ABS clamping ring is for 2" and 3" waste lines.
• The cast iron clamping ring is for 2" waste lines only.

QuickDrain Hot Mop Collar | ABS or Cast Iron

Option 1) QUICKDRAIN ABS PLASTIC TWO PART CLAMPING RING | HOTMD23-ABS 

The HOTMD23-ABS is designed for use in traditional shower pan installation. Using the countersunk holes, secure the flange base to the subfloor with an approved fastener. Shower pan drain shall have a solvent weld connection over 2" Sch. 40 DWV hub connection which conforms to ASTM D2665 (PVC) or D2661 (ABS). Strainer shall meet all necessary load and flow requirements for installations in shower areas.

• Tongue and groove cast iron bolt down clamping ring

• Weep holes on both top and | bottom for secondary drainage

• Inside caulk unit can be used with gasket to make unit no caulk

NOTE: Often people who use hotmop waterproofing also use Leveling Brackets to keep the drain in place during installation.

COVERAGE: QD Holdings I LLC, an affiliate of Oatey Co. (collectively referred to as “QuickDrain”) warrants that all QuickDrain® branded products (the “Goods”) will be free from defects in material and workmanship for the lifetime of the plumbing system in which installed. RESOLUTION: If any of the Goods are found by QuickDrain to be defective, such Goods will, at QuickDrain’s option, be replaced or repaired at QuickDrain’s cost. Buyer’s sole and exclusive remedy against QuickDrain shall be for the repair or replacement of defective Goods as provided herein. (The sole purpose of the stipulated exclusive remedy shall be to provide buyer with free repair or replacement of defective Goods. This exclusive remedy shall not be deemed to have failed of its essential purpose so long as QuickDrain is willing and able to repair or replace defective Goods in the prescribed manner.) MAKING A CLAIM: To make a claim under this Limited Lifetime Warranty, the buyer must provide QuickDrain with written notice within thirty (30) days of discovering any alleged defect in the Goods covered by this Limited Lifetime Warranty, together with date and proof of purchase of such Goods, the name and address of all installers, and all invoices related to the original installation and any repair work. This warranty does not cover labor or other costs or expenses to remove or install any defective, repaired or replaced Goods. QuickDrain’s warranty does not apply to any Goods which have been subjected to misuse, mishandling, misapplication, neglect (including but not limited to improper maintenance), accident, improper installation, modification (including but not limited to unauthorized parts or attachments), or adjustment or repair performed by anyone other than QuickDrain or one of QuickDrain’s authorized agents. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: QUICKDRAIN ‘S LIABILITY (WHETHER UNDER THE THEORIES OF BREACH OF CONTRACT OR WARRANTY, NEGLIGENCE, OR STRICT LIABILITY) FOR ITS GOODS SHALL BE LIMITED TO REPAIRING OR REPLACING PARTS FOUND BY QUICKDRAIN TO BE DEFECTIVE, OR AT QUICKDRAIN’S OPTION, TO REFUNDING THE PURCHASE PRICE OF SUCH GOODS OR PARTS THEREOF. AT QUICKDRAIN ‘S REQUEST, BUYER WILL SEND, AT BUYER’S SOLE EXPENSE, ANY ALLEGEDLY DEFECTIVE PARTS TO A LOCATION OF QUICKDRAIN’S CHOOSING.
