Someone who trusted us with the job has earned the first call on our technicians' time, and we think loyalty ought to run both directions. Once our own customers are looked after, we help whoever else we can reach.
That is only possible because the technicians work for us. Many companies advertising stairlifts in Michigan are national sales operations that cannot service a lift once it is in — there is nobody local to send.

We serve Michigan's Lower Peninsula. Our work is concentrated in the north — the Grand Traverse, Leelanau, Benzie, Antrim, Charlevoix and Emmet county areas — with a second cluster along the west Michigan lakeshore from Ludington down through Muskegon and Holland, served from our Kentwood hub. We also travel to northeast Michigan around Alpena, Tawas and Oscoda. We do not service the Upper Peninsula.

How much does a stairlift cost in Michigan?
Our most popular straight stairlift, the Bruno Elan, is $5,495 installed. Curved stairlifts cost more because the rail is custom-manufactured to your exact staircase, and they cannot be priced accurately without measuring the stairs.
Do I get a price before someone comes to my home?
Yes. We do a phone survey first and give you a preliminary installed price, with no obligation. On a standard rail with no added options, that price does not change — and options like a folding rail or a power swivel seat are identified during the phone survey, so they are in the quote from the start. We hate surprises, and you likely do too. See the full process.
How long does installation take?
For a standard straight stairway, we survey and install on the same day. We work out whether that is possible during the phone survey first, and give you a preliminary quote before anyone drives out. Curved stairlifts are two visits, because the rail is manufactured to your staircase after the measure.
What type of stairlift is best for my Michigan home?
A standard straight staircase takes a straight rail. Any turn, winder or intermediate landing requires a curved rail built for that staircase. Porch, deck and garage steps take an outdoor lift.
What does the warranty cover?
All major components of the Bruno stairlift — motor, gearbox, drivetrain and static rail system — are warranted against defects in material and workmanship for the lifetime of the stairlift, for as long as the original purchaser owns it. Most stairlift warranties cover major components for two to five years.
If something goes wrong, who pays for the service call?
For the first year, we do. If a Bruno manufacturing defect appears, our own technicians come out and fix it at no charge. After that, the lifetime warranty continues to cover the major components — motor, gearbox, drivetrain and rail — and you pay only for the visit. We can stand behind these lifts because they are well built; we install a few hundred of them and we rarely see a defect.
Do you install yourselves, or subcontract?
We install. EZ Able® is based in Traverse City with a second hub in Kentwood, and has been installing stairlifts across Michigan's Lower Peninsula since 2008. Many companies advertising stairlifts in this market are national sales operations that route the work to whoever is nearest.
Do stairlifts work during power outages?
Yes. Modern stairlifts run on rechargeable batteries that charge at the parking points, so the lift keeps working through an outage — worth knowing in Michigan, where winter storms take the power out regularly.
Will you service a stairlift someone else installed?
Yes. We repair and service Bruno, Acorn and most major brands within our service area, whether or not we supplied the lift.
