ADA Grab Bar Requirements (Section 604.5)
Grab bars must be installed on both the side wall and rear wall near the toilet to provide stability and support.
Side Wall Grab Bar:
- Minimum length: 42 inches
- Maximum 12 inches from rear wall
- Extends at least 54 inches from rear wall
Rear Wall Grab Bar:
- Minimum length: 36 inches
- Extends 12" on one side and 24" on the other from centerline
ADA Sink & Lavatory Requirements (Section 606)
✔ Clear Floor Space
Forward approach with knee and toe clearance required.
✔ Height
Maximum 34 inches from floor to sink or counter.
✔ Safety
Insulated pipes and no sharp edges required.
