A licensed residential builder since 1991 — and in construction before that — Jody Fisk has spent more than two decades in accessibility, building EZ Able® into a nationally recognized provider focused on independence, aging in place, and inclusive living.
A Journey Driven by Purpose
My commitment to accessibility began early in life, volunteering to teach children with disabilities how to swim. That experience shaped a deep understanding of real-world accessibility challenges and sparked a lifelong mission to create solutions that support independence and dignity.
I came up in construction and earned my residential builder’s license in 1991. Over two decades ago I moved into the accessibility industry with a simple goal: to help people live safer, more independent lives. What began as a profession quickly became a calling—one centered on ensuring equal access to essential products, technologies, and home accessibility solutions.
Throughout my career, I’ve witnessed the life-changing impact of accessibility solutions—from helping veterans regain independence at home to enabling seniors to age in place more safely and confidently. Each success reinforced one belief: accessibility is not a luxury—it is a fundamental right.
That vision led to the creation of EZ Able®, built on a foundation of high-quality accessibility products, expert guidance, and a deep commitment to customer outcomes.

Built by a Builder
Most companies selling accessible bathing products have never framed a wall, set a pan, or stood in a bathroom explaining to a homeowner why the shower they were sold will not fit.
A working life in residential construction — licensed since 1991, on job sites before that — is what shapes how EZ Able® chooses products and advises customers. It is why we ask about drain location before recommending a base, why our guides measure to the finished wall rather than the stud, and why we will tell a customer that a product does not suit their bathroom rather than sell it anyway.
Accessibility on paper is a set of dimensions. Accessibility in practice is whether those dimensions survive contact with an existing house, an existing budget, and a real person’s daily routine. That gap is where most projects go wrong, and closing it is the work.
How We Work
Good advice sometimes costs a sale. A customer whose bathroom cannot take a curbless base is better served hearing that from us than discovering it mid-demolition, and a contractor who trusts our answer on a hard question will call us on the next twenty jobs.
