Stairlift Batteries | Duracell Brand - a Name You Can Trust

Stairlift Batteries to replace your current lift batteries by a manufacturer you can trust - DURACELL.

Don't risk your mobility or stairlift on a unknown brand.  Buy with confidence here.

Most stairlifts today are powered with DC power.  These DC stairlifts plug into a standard wall outlet and then covert power to charge the batteries.

Stairlifts have TWO batteries which operate the lifts.  They are wired in series for a total of 24 Volts DC.  Stairlifts with battery backup typically need to have their batteries replaced every 18-24 months.

NOTE: 2 BATTERIES ARE REQUIRED TO BE PURCHASED TO CREATE A STAIRLIFT BATTERIES SET.  Therefore, you will need to order 2 batteries.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT TIPS TO HELP MAKE YOUR JOB GO SMOOTHER:

  • TURN OFF THE UNIT AND UNPLUG THE POWER FROM THE WALL BEFORE YOU OPEN UP YOUR STAIRLIFT's CARRIAGE.
  • TAKE A PICTURE OF HOW THE WIRES ARE RAN TO THE BATTERIES BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT ANYTHING.

OTHER THINGS TO CONSIDER:

Now that you've found your replacement stair lift battery you should ask yourself this question.  Should I replace the batteries myself?

Some manufacturers require battery replacements by the manufacturer certified technicians or elevator contractors (when required by law), or THEY MAY VOID THE WARRANTY. It is easy to replace the batteries on some models while other are a bit more complex as the require the removal of the carriage cover and safety edges.

Unfortunately there is no guide that will describe how to change the battery for every manufacturer or model, and there is a risk in doing it yourself. Risk for both the usability of your stair lift, the welfare of the stair lift user, and the welfare of the person replacing the battery.

Of course, replacing the batteries can be done by a person with the right technical knowledge. However, when in doubt, you are probably better off paying a qualified technician to do the replacement for you.
